What color of shoes, accessories, hairstyle, make up should i wear?

i have a dark brown halter dress, it has glitters in it. can i wear black shoes/sandals with a black purse with my dress? i have long hair and i have white skin tone. can i wear a necklace if i have a halter dress or just wear earrings?

you can wear a long chain in your neck %26amp; wear open sandals as it looks pretty with a halter dress %26amp; carry a clutch bag.
Reply:I agree with laughin%26#039; lady - use a gold or bronze shoe instead. it looks more modern and black will probably not compliment a lighter skin tone. Also, I wouldn%26#039;t recommend a necklace - try a bold earring and an updo, bracelets also.

Sport a bracelet. Or wrap a necklace around the wrist.


Otherwise just dangling earrings. Chandeliers.


Wear the black shoes with the dress and see how it looks. Black goes with most. Is how you carry it off.

Reply:dark brown would blend very well wit black so go ahead. a nice necklace could be okay too.
Reply:Dark brown and black can be rather stark against pale skin - maybe a bronze, brown or soft gold shoe? Not knowing your age group or the function makes this a little hard. I have seen a fantastic soft gold wedge with an open toe - very hot! Or an open toe bronze kitten heeled pump. If you want a more casual non winter look - there are some wonderful beaded sandals for spring.


A necklace with a halter top just doesn%26#039;t work. Super earrings look much better. If it is a dressy event - could you put your hair up? To show off your shoulders and back.


Again not having an idea of your age group is making this difficult - I am assuming 20s. Make up - try a bronzy tone with dark brown unless that is too dark for your skin.

(just not yellow...at least that%26#039;s what I think) I would use a necklace or maby a choker- And I would think that they should also be black. I would also try to not have anything else glitter, so it can%26#039;t take away from that dress of yours! Have fun!

Reply:brown and black can be fabulous together but it will depend on the glitter color. gold glitter on dk brown will go better with brown accessories but silver or other colors would work with black. as for the necklace that depends on the neckline of the dress -- a vee neck will accomodate a necklace. be careful with jewelry when your outfit sparkles -- sometimes it is better to let the outfit do all the bling blinging.
