I would probably go with black open toed shoes and a black clutch. if you stick with the black you could even do a black beaded necklace. white would also be very pretty instead of the black shoes, clutch, and necklace. check places like forever 21 that have inexpensive good jewelry!

I wear my black and whites with colorful shoes and a matching handbag so maybe I would wear blue heels and blue bag maybe different shades, but if you want to match weat black high heeled sandals and a black with white bag or metallics, in your case silver, and check out claire's.. make sure to keep all your jewelry silver, dont mix for a more polished look, and if your hair is long try to do the style in my pic I think it'll be very cute

I don't know where you are and whether the store is near you or not, but try Urban Outfitters, they have really awesome stuff (: and it's also very cute.

these are cute choes, but they would look HORRIBLE with this dress. the dress already has so much going on- you need some flat silver strappy sandals (like everyone said). with complicated dresses like these, you have to wear shoes that will compliment it, but not take the attention off it. i wouldn't wear very much jewelry with this either. maybe just a silver bracelet or something.

if you have pale skin---try pinks and purples
if you have beige skin---try blues;lights and darks
if you have bronze skin---try deep greens and shimmery golds
if you have dark skin--- try blacks and deep browns

am a guy dressing up as a Debutante for Halloween (its meant to be fun). Since I have around shoulder length hair anyway, my sister suggested I didn't really need a wig but could just style my hair like a Deb. Most people (here) have suggested that some kind of updo is the most appropriate style to go for. I also have a ball gown as a dress with some heeled shoes.

This is a VERY cruel thing; to kill an innocent little snake.

Hello, I'm going to a very formal christmas party and I have purchased the most beautiful classy red dress that is knee length. I don't know what color panty hose to wear or if I should not wear any at all. Also I have a pair of black peep toe heels with red on the bottom of the shoe? I also have red patient shoes? Then do I wear gold or silver accessories? I don't need a necklace because the dress covers my chest but it is sleevless. Any help from my fashion friends would be greatly appreciated.

If it's not that cold where you're going, I'd wear the dress as is or with a fancy (shiffon or something metallic or something like that) shawl at most. You are not mentioning your age/weight, so I assume you're relatively young and with no figure issues.The black jacket or shrug thingy would also do, as would a short jacket made of faur persian or broadtail fur.

I would definitely go with the Silver Strappy shoes or silver shoes that have clear rhinestones or crystals on them. As far as the accessories....the dress stands out on it own so it's not necessary to "dress it up". I too wore a red dress with a rhinestone strap for my sister's wedding and all I work were shoes with crsytal and a ring. That's all you need. Since you were thinking of wearing silver, my suggestion would be to wear a silver ring that has either cubic zirconia or crystals in/on it. Even if your ears aren't pierced, I'm sure you can find some beautiful rhinestone or cubic zirconia clip ons (only if you insist on wearing earrings) The dress is beautiful and it doesn't require a necklace..that would be too much. Also a nice chiffon red shawl would be fine (try to match the same color as the dress)

I've just bought a pale blue shift dress to wear for my cousins wedding in june. It's quite a casual wedding, but obviously I need accessories, including shoes, bag, top. But I can't decide what colour what go best - the dress is a pale baby blue, with little brown green and white flowers on - was thinking maybe white or siler but cud really do with some help!! thankx

The silver would look beautiful. The silver would look bright against the blue. This color would also be casual yet sexy and appropriate for a wedding. Just don't get a very flashy metallic silver, it will distract from the dress.
White would also be my second choice. You really can't go wrong with white. It would provide a fresh and clean look, and allow for your dress to be the main focus.
If anything, I would say to buy silver jewelry and possibly silver shoes with a white handbag or a soft silver one. White jewelry can sometimes look cheap.
Reply:I would go with silver strappy heels, as long as they aren't shiny. If you wear earrings, I'd wear small silver hoops or even some small dangly faux diamond ones (just nothing big or gaudy). You may not even need a necklace...the dress can speak for itself. A small silver handbag would be nice. If the dress is sleeveless you may want a white wrap for your shoulders. Good luck!

Gold. Get gold heels, purse, and jewelry. It will jazz up the black as well as look stunning.
If you want to keep it simple then another suggestion is pearl and white. Have your accessories and shoes white and then wear pearls (necklace and earrings). It is simple and classy but will make you look elegant.
Another option is to get black heels and then have your jewelry and accessories a color such as red, blue, or purple (my best friend had a black gown for prom and her date's favorite color was blue, so she had a sapphire necklace and a matching blue purse so that she matched him).

Have you previously or are you currently at Uni studying Fashion Design, Textiles, Shoe or Accessory Design?
I really dont know what path to take!!! :( I love fashion and I know I want to follow that route.. BUT.. which I have no idea where to branch off at the end of that route lol. There are so many courses and I cant do all of them...
If someone could give me advice on what their fashion/design course is or was like for them, Id really appreciate it.

Ive never taken the class, but my mom best freind has. She took Fashion Design. She liked the class and thought it was a LOT of fun. She looked into the other departments, like Accessory Design, but it has more Math work involved and she isnt good at Math. If you are, then I would go with the AD because my moms freind said that if she was good in Math, she would have.
If your not, the I would go with FD. She said ot was a worthwhile experienece.

Reply:I agree. Their Yankee attitude is what started the war in the fist place! :) It is a great look. I would go with suspenders, just a belt the goes with whatever shoes you are wearing and light color tie, probably classic brooks brothers. Report It
