I am going to Hong Kong this October from the 6th to the 11th. I wish to purchase clothing, jewellery and accessories like shoes, scarves etc. Any suggestions on where to go? Also, do you have to bargain with people in shopping centres and hobby stores?
Hong Kong. Best place to shop for clothes, jewellery %26amp; accessories?
The Ladies Market is the best place to shop. Or try the the whole strip of Nathan Road for designer or branded clothes.
Reply:Do you know that Hong Kong is renowned to be the Asia's shopping paradise?
Whatever you're looking for; Fashion and Beauty, Jewellery and Watches, Consumer Electronics or Chinese Traditions you'll have a variety of choice from street markets to luxury brand stores in all price range. Hong Kong is the best!
For street markets - you need to know how to bargain.
Here's the best shopping spots in HK:

Reply:u definatlety cannot missed the Harbour City Shopping Acrade. it's located on the harbour side in Tsim Sha Tsui area. which is the hot spot of shopping there even 4 HKnese ourselves. they hv over 300 shops + many nice / famous restaurants.
4 stanley market + the lady's street in Mongkok (Tung Choi Street). hm.... they always cheated westerners......so u better be careful there. also for the pickpockets! standley market is a lot better......but price is quite high. so u bargain wt them if u buy more.
in our shopping acrade, we dun do bargaining...... just follow the price tag.
n 4 HKnese......we always 'hunt' some nice branded clothes in a street named = Lion Rock Road in Kowloon City area. it's a narrow street that full of small outlets...... price fixed wt tags.... no bargain. but v v cheap + many of them wt brands.
Reply:not the best place to go for shopping....
Philippines, from the tiangge and divisoria's where you can buy anything (and i really mean anything) for low prices....
to the expensive and branded things in the biggest mall in ASIA the 'SM MALL OF ASIA' (also the most sophisticated), to the Ayala's and Robinson's....
i suggest you go to the philippines instead, products in Hongkong are bought from the Philippines...
Philippines, truly a place made in HEAVEN
Reply:Clothing %26amp; Accesories: Ladies Market in Tung Choi, Temple Street Night Market, and Stanley Market in Hong Kong Island if you're on a budget; otherwise, try Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Times Square in Causeway Bay, and Citygate Outlets like in Tung Chung, Lantau Island.
Jewellery: Jade Market and Jade Street (for Jades), Yee Wo Street, Nathan Road, Hennessy Road, Tsuen Wan Jewelry and Goldsmith Square
As for bargaining, I think you can only bargain at small stores in Ladies Market, Temple Street Night Market, and Apliu Street Flea Market. I don't think you can bargain at uptown shopping malls. However, if bargaining is really your thing, then try Shenzhen in Mainland China. Go to Luo Hu Commercial City, near the Lo Wu/Luo Hu Border. There you can bargain all day long, even in "No Bargaining" shops!
