burberry is out chanel is in. Etherreal is in, nude lipsticks, mixed patterns, and florals, wedges, and ballet flats, also pair cocktail dresses with big funky belts and flats. try geometric and ethnic patterns on flowing satin skirts, and trapeze jackets!

For example, if you walk around carrying a Louis Vuitton, while using MAC cosmetics, etc, would that necessarily be a status symbol? In my opinion that%26#039;s becoming the norm, so it%26#039;s not even considered classy anymore.

I find that with cosmetics you can%26#039;t even reaally tell if the person%26#039;s makeup is flawless. Status symbols include, great skin without pimples or wrinkles or sunspots. Full thick shiny hair, and a waist that is 70% of the size of the hips and chest. For women. For men, really good skin, white teeth and this may be me, a really great blazer with either a dress shirt or a graphic t-shirt underneath.
For women, really clear status symbols include designer purses like balenciaga and chanel. A pair of fab stiletto boots or shoes with a pair of wide leg pants/ wide leg jeans. Fabrics that are status symbols include woven tweed (a la chanel), cashmere, fine silk, chiffon, and buttery soft suedes and leathers and ofcourse (i hate this one) fur. Cashmere coats and leather or cashmere blazers in winter or fall are status symbols, along with really great stiletto knee high black boots. In summer, I find its hard to tell... But really fab shoes and a great dress with ofcourse a brand name bag.
Calvin Klein for winter coats, and the burberry trenchcoat though not the nova check in britain. - for the rainy season. Sometimes, you can look like a heiress with just the brand name bag and the brand name shoes and the right outerwear, and the pants and top can be from walmart or old navy and no one is the wiser.

For example anything like ribbons.....around the neck with a charm on the center and tied behind the neck....
For the shoes...I%26#039;d get some %26quot;espadrilles%26quot; they are tied around the ankle with ribbon or cords....this would make the outfit have a FLOW ..to it....
About your hair..I don%26#039;t know the length you have but ....something very romantic...and wavy, curly....thing of gypsy look....or think of one flower in your hair behind your ear coming towards your face....like gardenia....keep the accents simple and soft. when it comes to earrings...keep them small and simple...if you do the flower...

That dress is so cute ! I would personally wear some bright yellow or white flats or pointy toe stilettoes. I would wear minimal, retro, plastic or patent jewelry and accesories, like maybe a chunky bracelet and a headband or chunky beaded necklace. Hope that helped : )

Tonight my husband and I are going out for our 2 year anniversary. I have a dress similar to the one in the link. It is the same pattern but black, white, and grayish-silver. And I for one, would not be expecting anything else, after you bought me a dress! hi guys. going to a wedding in 3 wks. wedding is %26quot;formal%26quot; but its a small country town. parents of the bride and bride have notified me to wear a cocktail dress and men should wear slack and a long sleeved shirt with tie (therefore its not OVERLY FORMAL just %26quot;nice%26quot; stuff) i have a strapless, black, knee length %26quot;little black dress%26quot; i can wear, i was a bit iffy about wearing black but both the bride and the mother of the bride have said not to go buy anything else just wear that, so instead of buying a new dress i want to jazz it up with some new accessories. if you were wearing the dress i have described, what accessories would you wear with it? %26amp;%26amp; what shoes?? (i.e what colours would look best?) i have chocolate brown hair, hazel eyes, usually fair skin but ive been in the sun a bit lately so i am medium coloured skin tone.

buy a wide cream ribbon and wear shiny cream shoes with a bangle plastic bangle OR wear copper shoes with bangles the SAME colour OR red with bangles if your going for a necklace go short and big or same except long not skinny
oh and wear open toe shoes but NOT strappy
