Colored accessories with black dress?

I have a mostly black dress with white polka dots that I'm wearing for a dance in late June. Would it be okay if I wore accessories (shoes, bag, jewelry) of a different color? All the accessories would be the same color (probably blue), just different from the dress. Thanks.
